What's New @ Ally Bally Bee?

While everyone has been enjoying a wonderful summer, being busy entertaining family or just relaxing, we have been welcoming new artists and planning for the Fall.

New Artists? Plenty!
Some of our newest additions include vintage maps (circa 1868) of our local towns, handcrafted essential oil sensuous perfume, "real people" porcelain yoga figures, ceramic bracelet art, lawn decorations, kitchen accessories and beautiful home soft furnishings (including shower curtains). Quite a selection! As you know we are always on the look out for new talent and only have one or two spaces left that we can squeeze in more talent. We are looking to expand our children's section with a few more children's artists - do you know anyone? We are always looking for fun textile/apparel artists too.

New in the Fall? Art & Classes!
We're currently putting together a schedule for fall classes. Some of the definite classes so far are our ever popular water color, oils and acrylics class with Wendy MacCordy: Monday 10-12pm, starting September 15th (6 weekly sessions - $210). All levels welcome.

Wendy will also be doing After School Art Class: Wednesdays 4-5:30pm, starting September 17th (6 weekly sessions - $150). All levels welcome.

New for Ally Bally Bee Crafty Coffees with Morag Grassie, founder of Ally Bally Bee! How often do you pour over Pinterest and think that you would love to do one of the many inspiring projects posted there? Grab a friend, a coffee from Tusk and Cup and come by Ally Bally Bee to have a social morning trying your hand at some of the most fun seasonal craft projects. We'll provide the materials, you provide the hands (and a little inspiration) and you'll be pinning your results before you know it! Tuesday mornings 10-11.30am, starting September 16th (6 weekly sessions - $100).

Sewing 101 - Pillows and Throws with Morag GrassieDo you have a sewing machine and would love to use it? We've been working with some wonderful girls over the summer teaching them all about bobbins and winders, presser foots and needles. Their moms were just as interested to learn, so we thought we'd create a class where you can start to learn the basics but at the same time make some fun soft furnishings for the house. By the end of the classes you will have had the chance to made a pillow and a throw. Lots of straight stitching with just a little bit of finishing touches here and there. Learn about the basics of your machine, how to choose fabric for your project and how to deal with pattern placement. You'll soon be making curtains and blinds! Friday mornings, 10-12pm starting September 18th (6  weekly sessions - $200).

For the Younger Sewer - an after school class, bring your own machine, and we'll work on a range of projects that you can work on at home too! Thursday 4-5:30pm, starting September 17th (6 weekly sessions - $150)

Also in the planning - knitting for beginners, quilting, beading and afterschool kids crafts. If you are interested get in touch and we will try and build a class around your preferred times -
